Army chief visits defense exhibition in Malaysia

Chief of Army Staff General Walker-uz-Zaman is in Malaysia on a four-day official visit. He visited the ‘Defense Services Asia’ (DSA) and ‘National Security Asia’ (NATSEC Asia-2026) exhibitions held in Kuala Lumpur. He visited the exhibition as a representative of Prime Minister and Defense Minister Tariq Rahman on Monday.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has informed this information in a press release on Monday.

According to the release, DSA and Natsec Asia-2026 is one of the largest defense exhibitions in Asia. It showcases modern defense systems, electronic warfare technology and state-of-the-art security and war equipment.

According to the tour schedule, the army chief will attend the eighth ‘Putrajaya Forum’ in Malaysia tomorrow, Tuesday (April 21). The forum will hold important discussions on the impact of emerging technologies on the security and regional stability of the ASEAN region and various policies and strategies for integrated cooperation.

During the visit, the army chief is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with relevant representatives of Malaysia. It is expected that regional relations and security cooperation between the two countries will be strengthened through this visit. Earlier on Sunday, the army chief left Dhaka for Malaysia on a four-day visit.
