In 2018, Ziaul Haque Palash gained popularity by acting in the serial drama ‘Bachelor Point’, which started airing with various tensions, laughs and tears of urban mess life. He is now known as ‘Kabila’ for this play.
For Ziaul Haque Palash’s achievements as a model and director, the star’s mother Fatema Akhtar has been given the ‘Garbini Ma’ award. On the occasion of International Mother’s Day, she was awarded ‘Garbini Ma’ at the Rawa Convention Center in Mohakhali on Sunday. Universal Medical College Hospital of the capital gave this award to 11 mothers in recognition of their contribution.

No one from Ziaul Haque Palash’s family has ever worked in the entertainment industry. Father Mujibul Haque wanted his son to be an engineer like him. From that dream, he admitted his son to Government Laboratory School in Dhaka.
But Palash’s heart was in the world of entertainment. While fulfilling his heart’s desire, Palash once fell behind in formal education. Couldn’t pass SSC first time. His mother Fatema Akhter was unconscious for 15 days after suffering a stroke.
On receiving the Garbini Ma award on Sunday, he told Prothom Alo about the memories of that hardship. Fatema Akhter said, ‘After 15 days I regained consciousness. A lot of therapy has to be given.
Recalling the pain of the mother, Palash said in the ceremony, “My left hand, left leg and left eye were all paralyzed.” Amma could not speak. We had to write and speak.
Fatema Akhter, mother of Ziaul Haque Palash, said that when Palash used to talk about becoming a producer, he used to burst into tears. Because, he wanted his son to be a doctor or engineer something. But he never thought that he would be a producer.
Fatema Akhter said, “He fell behind the media from class nine. Due to this reason failed in SSC. There was always a problem with him. There were tears all the time.
But he was not only disappointed. Fatema Akhter said that after entering the entertainment world, when her son spent long hours outside the house, she was his silent partner.
Thinking about what his son played outside, how he spent, he used to sneak out of the house and hand the money to Palash.
When asked why he used to give money, Palash’s mother said, ‘I used to think that I used to pay for what he eats and what he doesn’t eat.’
His mother Fatema Akhtar said that his indomitable will has contributed the most to the success of Ziaul Haque Palash. He said, after failing in SSC, Palash will show something, such stubbornness grows in his mind. This persistence has brought him this far.
When Palash fails in SSC and dreams of becoming a builder after breaking the social structure, his mother Fatema Akhtar has to endure thousands of hardships. He said that after his son was unsuccessful, the crooked view of the people in the society used to trouble him more. When Fathima Akhter took Palash to take the exam in SSC the next year, everyone in the school avoided him.
Those who used to love Fatema Akhtar, wanted to talk with a smile when they met, looked at her crookedly.
Reminiscing about Palash’s bitter experience during the second time of the exam, he said, “I used to sit in a corner and when I went to take the exam.”
Fatema Akhtar now feels that all parents should support their children in whatever they like to do. This is his opinion after his own child has moved on.
Urging all parents to be supportive of their children, he said, “Encourage your child’s work rather than hindering it, you will see that one day he will do something good.”
Ziaul Haque Palash also honored all the mothers of the world on Mother’s Day. He also paid respect to the mothers who could never come to the discussion, did not come to any news.
