A woman was allegedly killed in an attack in Pallavi, the police did not take up the case even after four days due to the ‘dislike’ of the statement.

A woman named Sashila Begum (71) was killed in an attack aimed at occupying a slum house in the Bauniabad area of Pallabir in the capital, her family alleged. He died yesterday Sunday.
The victim’s family claimed that the attack took place last Friday. Four members of a family were injured in the attack. One of them died. Four days after the attack, the police did not take the case.
Sashila Begum’s daughter Pakhi Akter told Prothom Alo that 15-20 people, including Kala Motaleb, attacked her family members on the orders of Khandkar Ibrahim Khalil, convenor of Ward No. 5 of Pallabir Jubo Dal. His mother died of severe injuries in the attack.
Pakhi Akter claims that they have a house in the slum. The house is rented out as a rickshaw garage. An attack was made to occupy that house. He said, “After the attack, I went to the police station several times for four days. But the police did not take the case. The police said, if Ibrahim’s name is removed from the statement of the case, they will take the case.
When asked about this, Pallabi Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Hasan Basir told Prothom Alo that the woman was already ill. The victim’s family says he died in the attack. So the post mortem has been done. Now the case will be taken.
The OC said that Ibrahim Khalil’s name has been asked to be removed from the case.
Meanwhile, after this incident, Ibrahim Khalil was expelled from the post of Juba Dal. In a press release on Monday, Dhaka Metropolitan North Youth Dal said that Pallavi Ward No. 5 Youth Dal convenor Ibrahim Khalil and member secretary Riaz have been expelled from the party for being involved in activities against party discipline and social order.
Khandaker Ibrahim Khalil’s mobile phone was called several times to get a statement on the matter, but he did not pick up the phone.
