The police recovered the charred body of an unidentified person from Udalsetu (flyover) in Mouchak area of ​​the capital. They say that the condition of the body is such that it is not clear whether it is male or female.

Deputy Inspector (SI) of Shahjahanpur Police Station. Mehdi Hasan said that after receiving a call to the National Emergency Service number 999, the burnt body was recovered from the flyover bridge at Mauchak intersection around 1:30 pm on Saturday. The cleaners called 999 when they found the body while clearing the dirt.

After the legal process on Sunday morning, the body has been sent to Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy. Police say the body’s condition is so bad that it is not possible to determine the age or gender. The forensic department has been asked to collect DNA samples for identification.

According to a police source, there was an incident of fire in that part of the flyover last Friday night, which was brought under control by the fire service. How the person died in the fire or how the body got there is under investigation.
