In Fatulla, a young man was brutally beaten for raping a 6-year-old child

A young man named Hira (21) was beaten to death by local people for allegedly raping a six-year-old child in Fatulla of Narayanganj Sadar Upazila. Later he was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in police custody in critical condition.
The incident took place at Baktabali Union of the upazila last Friday night. Another young man named Sohail (22) has been arrested by the police in this incident.

Additional Superintendent of Police (A-Circle) of Narayanganj. Shamim Hossain told Prothom Alo that the victim’s family came to the police station and filed a complaint on Saturday morning. In this incident, the child’s mother filed a case under the Women and Child Abuse Act.
The Additional Superintendent of Police also said that a person accused of torturing a child was thrashed by the agitated crowd. Later he was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition. Another accused has also been arrested.

According to the police and local sources, yesterday afternoon, two youths sexually assaulted the child while he was playing near the house. Later, when the child’s physical condition deteriorated, the family members noticed the matter and took him to Munshiganj General Hospital first. When the child’s condition deteriorated there, he was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Meanwhile, when the news of child rape spread, the local people beat up the accused Heera at around 10:30 pm. On receiving the information, the police went and rescued him in critical condition and sent him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Later the police conducted a raid and arrested the other accused Sohail.
Deputy Commissioner Md visited the child at Fatulla Model Police Station this morning. Raihan Kabir, Superintendent of Police. Mizanur Rahman Munshi, Narayanganj Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) SM Faiz Uddin and others. They spoke to the victim child and his family members there.
District Police Superintendent. Mizanur Rahman Munshi said that one person involved in the incident was arrested by the local crowd and handed over to the police. Another person was arrested by the police. The case is being investigated with utmost importance.
