Taylor Fritz Eyes First American Men’s US Open Title in Over 20 Years

New York: It has been more than two decades since an American man last won the US Open, and this year, Taylor Fritz may have the best chance to break that streak. Currently ranked No. 4 in the world, Fritz is set to face Switzerland’s Jerome Kym, seeded No. 175, tonight in the men’s third round on the hard courts at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

Fritz aims to secure a victory in this match to advance further toward the final, potentially ending the long wait for an American men’s champion.

The match will be broadcast on ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes, and it will also stream live on ESPN Unlimited. The scheduled start time is approximately 8:30 p.m. ET, or immediately after the women’s third-round match between Aryna Sabalenka and Leylah Fernandez concludes.

Fans are eagerly watching to see if Fritz can make history and bring the US Open men’s title back to the United States for the first time in over 20 years.
